Saw John Force at a lost for words.
Steve Torrence whining about the playoff point system that has been in place for years.
Funny Car winner Tommy Johnson Jr dedication to Terry Chandler.
Greg Anderson rooting for Tanner Gray over KB teammate in the final of Pro Stock.
Tanner Gray tantrum kicking his car instead of the tire.
Stock racer Bo Butner winning Pro Stock over Tanner and Greg.
Allen Johnson retiring.
Alan Johnson help win another championship.
Alexis DeJoria retiring and her dad being there, along with Patron commercials.

“Greg Anderson rooting for Tanner Gray over KB teammate in the final of Pro Stock.”

Didn’t watch the show but this caught my eye...did this clearly really happen? Realize Greg is a friend of the Shane Gray but hard to believe he would root against his teammate.

Not a Torrence fan but haven’t been a fan of the points countdown either since it started and Mike Edwards missed his championship because of it.

jmcarter, when he was asked who he was going for by the interviewer, he indicated Tanner, because if Tanner won the final round, then he (Greg) would have been champion.

I understand about Mike Edwards, but this thing with Torrence is absurd. This playoff system has been around for a while, no whining allowed. And needed to be in place for entertainment value. It was boring if one car dominated three quarters through the season and would be champion before the end of the season, as far as TV exposure. With the playoffs, just like ball and stick sports, there is added pressure and entertainment. Hey, look at how the NBA Finals went down two years ago when Golden State had an unbelievable season, yet went down in the finals. It is called competition, and playoffs make it more fun.

Kind of like the Jegs All Stars Race.

Oh, and I also forgot about Eddie Krawiec leading Andrew Hines and suddenly slow down to let Hines go by for the win, and a second place nationally. Now that is teamwork. Cha Ching.

Thanks, since I didn’t watch the Pro Camaro show I wasn’t aware of the points situation. Makes sense. And Torrence whining...sad.

I usually don't watch either, but it was the finals for season championships and thought they would have Sportsman in there, and I will not watch the NFL even though I like football.

Why do they award a seasonal points champion for the pros?

1) for the pleasure of the fans?
2) to recognize the team that did the best for the entire season?
3) to recognize the team that did the best for the last 6 races?

Many titles given to the wrong team during these "countdown" years.

Hight would have none.
Kalitta woukd have at least one.
On and on.

Ready for the countdown to the championship for the sportsman classes?
