Default Re: Process for HP Review

After reading this thread and NHRA's procedure, I take it that the person requesting the change must have entered and raced the combo at least once at a national or divisional event ??

And...that the combo must not have made any passes any quicker than .6 seconds under the index ?

Am I correct ?

I know the national opens do not have the ahfs in place, so if a racer ran a combo ( that he wants a hp change on) at a National Open, it would not help him because those runs would not be included in the review process ?

Reread the AHFS rules. No review if combo goes one run -.85 under or two runs of -.65 under. Runs -.10 don't count, fastest run is used to raise or lower hp.

The system works, you have to read and understand the rules, its not easy but it works.

Thanks Larry.
So If a racer wanted a reduction in h.p. he needs to make all his runs (with that particular combo) in the .110-.150 under range ?

Reread.

.101 to .165 under for 2.25% reduction and so forth.

If there is a lot of your type cars running, I would also recommend reading a couple of books on herding of cats!

The system works both ways, trust me on this. The only way it works is in the framework of the rules as written. As they say, "Almost correct is still wrong"
