Re: small block mopar heads wanted
Be careful!!!!!! the 308's run large in the port cc and even straight out of the junk yard they can fail!! 576's were never put on production automobiles they are a mopar perf casting #p4529269 and are NS1. Plus I would do like a few other notable racers and use a less popular casting like a 051 because the 308 and the 596 is what nhra brings to compare to what you have. plus you also have to compensate for the rocker shaft height because the 308 is a roller lifter head you lose .040 lift at valve on your cam!

Re: small block mopar heads wanted
My 308's without any intake surface milling and aftermarket valves measure no more than 156cc on intake and are Way under on exhaust side. Shaft height is identical to 596 or 051. Shaft height is easily shimed and rocker ratio can be optimized and should be on stocker. My car runs 308's and currently Holds Nat. Record so they work fine for me. I have over 100 sets of small block heads so if I thought any other were better I use them. I will sell 051 or 596 or 487 or 915 or 303 or 593 or any other late head ....................... $125. delivered and Div.7 or 6 race I go to.
