CanAm Race #11 & #12 St Thomas

Races 11 and 12 were almost decided mid week as well all watched the weather and prayed for no rain. 31 of us made the trip to St Thomas knowing the weekend could be a wash. Friday night the sky opened up gave us a summers worth of the wet stuff. Saturdays race was cancelled at 10am with no signs of the rain letting up. Some got caught up on sleep, some benched raced, some had some beverages....all in all we kept busy and waited for Sunday.

30 racers made the call for round number one. With only 2 races left for 2016 everyone fighting for position. Coming from mid pack we see Bob Park in his GT/HA Camaro vs Top 5 racer Chris Lozon is his GT/CA Achieva. Park red lights giving the win to Lozon, his first "W" of the year and moving himself upwards into the points.

As a CanAm rulebook reminder in the event of a tie in the points for 1st place we will go to accumulated points for the season and if there is still a tie there will be a runoff for the championship. Attached is the updated points any questions or concerns be directed to Dan V. Get your calculators out, the last race will be very interesting.

Oct 1st weekend is the CanAm finals at Dragway Park Cayuga. I'm sure everyone will be there fighting for final position in the points. See you all there!
