HM,

Jerry McClure was the original owner of 'Scootin Cuda'
SS/B, 4-speed car, out of Greenville, Mississippi.

Later sold to Paul Lance out of Madisonville, Kentucky.

Not sure if anyone knows this,,,
but NHRA didn't certify the 68' Hemi Darts and
Hemi Barracuda's into the SS/B or SS/BA class, until one-week before the 1968 NHRA Springnationals in June 1968.

Chrysler had to submit a list of 50 owners names to both the Dart and Barracuda, to qualify for the cars for legal Super Stock.
No 'hanky-panky' stuff...

So, NHRA did have a list of the first 50 owners of the Hemi Dart and
Hemi Barracuda, to verify.

The NHRA must have been amazed, when 35 of these cars showed
up at the 68' Springnationals @ Englishtown.

Wayne.

This was the first Sox & Martin SS/B Hemi Barracuda,,,,
different than the above photo, in post #1097.
'Lil Boss' lettered on the fenders, 'Barracuda' on the center grille, different decal placement.
White hood with blue stripe.
As seen in the June 1968 Super Stock Magazine (photo from March 1968)

Yes that is the other B029 68 Hemi Barracuda I remember seeing in Sox & Martin's shop...any idea who's other 68 Hemi Barracuda that is...perhaps the old Dave Wren car.

HM,

The photo of the Barracuda in the Sox & Martin shop.
Do not think it was Dave Wren's orange Barracuda.

checking out the picture of sox and martins shop, would be interesting
to know the year this picture was taken. check out jerry mclure's cuda.
looks to be wily cosseys cuda, at least the paint schemes are the same.
fisher and christie raced with cossey in 1969, before moving east to work for sox and martin. i guess the question is, is it the same car, and who had it first. also the other cuda in primer paint seems to have the letter g covered up on the door.

Cuda in the S&M shop looks to be a 69. The center of the hood seems to have the hump and maybe the matching one on the front panel. Can't tell for sure.

Mike,
I think you're right.
The photo is from mid-1969.
The Jerry McClure Barracuda does have the exact same paint scheme
as Wiley Cossey's car. (see post #518).
Light blue rocker panel section, thin dark red body side stripe sections,
white body-center, and dark red hood, roof and trunk stripe.

Wiley Cossey sold his SS/B car in early-1969.

The other Barracuda, with the primered door section and primered quarter-panel section, looks to be Don Carlton's ex 'Lil Thumper' car,,,which was painted light-blue.
