GT /Stock
Effective Immediately, the southern st/ss association will open up the rule pertaining to the year to include 55 and newer. This will be the only change ,and has nothing to do with the existing rule at IHRA who still remains with the 80 and newer body.I have spoken with several s/ss association leaders and they have shown interest in following suit with this rule.We believe it will open up endless possibilities as to new and exciting combinations. There are many old cars from 55-79 that were not eligible to race or the costs to be competitive were to exhorbent. This should help increase the car counts for the s/ss associations. The rule will be 55 and newer with 79 and older engines. All other rules will remain as per the IHRA rule book.

If you have any questions about this change, please call Jim or I and we will be glad to explain it. It really isn't a rule change at all, just allowing the cars back to 1955 to compete in the IHRA GT/Stock. Jim
