As long as Sunoco is the official fuel, you will have to bring your own, that would be like Pepsi showing up and selling sodas at a national event. Last year they used a remote location to sell fuel outside the race track itself at certain events and carted it in.

I had read that last years rules had been relaxed because of so many racer complaints

Re: VP at 2016 NHRA national evenets
VP users heading to Gainesville should be certain to bring it along. That guy down there may find a remote location again this year but he is outrageously expensive. I bought 15 gallons at the Delaware depot yesterday. I was told that if you are a policeman of any type, or fireman/emt of any type that you can get $20.00 off on a 5 gallon can of C11- at a VP depot. Regular retail is now $81.50 but price for these folks is $62.50. All grades get a discount for them but I only got the C11 pricing.

The lack of VP or any other fuel is only aggravated by the inconsistency in the Sonoco products. I think the rank and file of tech understand our problems, but getting to the right person is another thing. It just a shame it is easier to haul your fuel and not have the headache.

Re: VP at 2016 NHRA national evenets
I decided to use Sunoco to keep from hauling my own fuel. That crap would not always pass fuel check. Not safe hauling fuel myself, but VP has passed every time for me. I just buy it here in town, and haul it. Don't like it. Gave up on Sunoco.

VP couldn't pay for any better advertising than Sunoco gives them for free, with their product that won't pass tech! I don't ever plan to change to Sunoco.

If you want something other than the "official fuel" you'll need to bring your own to be on the safe side. The contract usually does not allow any other brand of race fuel to be sold on race track property during a national event. I know for Gainesville, Renegade has a warehouse down the road from there.
