Matching set of 66 Hemi Coronet Deluxes

Thinning the HEMI herd on their 50 year anniversary.

Offered are TWO original unrestored 1966 Coronet Deluxe automobiles with the 426 hemi option. The first year that option was offered to the public, one of thirty one stick and one of eighteen automatic cars. This model car ranks 28th in the top rarest muscle cars of all time. Each car is fully documented with original cert cards, build sheets, correct engines, transmissions, date coded etc etc etc. These cars are considered “benchmark” quality because they are in original condition and if something was changed, the old part is in a box and comes with the car. Do they have slight patina and scratches? YES! Wrecks or rust? NOT AT ALL!! They RUN, STOP are SOLID and CORRECT!!

“Brownie” is a stick car (1 of 31). Five owner car, not ordered and sold by Elk Valley Motor Company, Sutton WV on Oct. 20, 1966. Original owner broke his big block Ford, coasted in and traded for this in route to his home in Charleston Height, SC. He passed and the car sat in an open carport with the morning sun fading the rear paint with about 60k miles showing. Still sporting its original paint, collectors acquired the car but could only make it run by pouring gas in the carb. The engine was recently overhauled by a professional engine shop, new tank, exhaust, and fresh driveline has less than 50 miles on it. New interior has been installed as well, the old funky one is in the trunk. My G meter indicates this might be the stronger car if the tires hold. But Green Machine ain’t no slouch.

“Green Machine” automatic car (1 of 18). Two owner car ordered on November, 1965 (first day he could) from Great Road Dodge, Maynard , Mass. A former company car for Digital Equipment Corp sporting a WELL documented history including weekend 12 second drag racing and occasional deer hunts. Car with deer tied to trunk was featured in last month Mopar Collectors Guide. Cert card, dealer invoice, window sticker, bank note, county tax receipt and on and on, all lifetime receipts are with the car. If the original owner “made out” in it, it’s in the book LOL. He travels annually to reunite and drive the car and is available to answer any questions from a serious buyer. Stolen for 3 days in the 70’s, seats and headliner were slashed by the thief. It was a small town, so owner always thought he knew who did it. That same person resides in prison today as he continued a life outside the law with much larger infractions. Interior, engine, and drivetrain were fresh in mid 70’s using all correct parts along with a correct color repaint. Currently 96000 miles showing and competed and COMPLETED the last two Great Race cross-country rallies with no major mechanical issues. Upgraded to 1967 carbs, brakes, and ignition for that race but original parts are with car. Youtube Great Race Hemi Coronet and you can see/hear it run.

The only matching unrestored set of original Deluxe WL (low price Ha!)cars that I know of and are for sell as a SET! CLEAR Louisiana titles and permanent plates for both cars.
