The Regal is the only one de-factored to 163. Makes it an R, T, U car.
The full size that makes V is 176 hp..In other words not de-factored like the Regal.
Only 302 FFFords can get reduced, across the boards, I guess.

So, how fast did the Doolittle / Mc Kay , Jewell black car ever go? Seems to me it should go plenty fast.
12.97 in R. 13.25 in T. Not a good race for the de factored FFFords it would just be a punching bag.

There is nothing cheap about a clean regal or grand national body either.

So, If a guy had a very solid 1986 Grand National, what would need to be changed trim wise to run this combination? Do you think that the interior would have to be changed? How about the hood?

(Since it's a radio delete, it needs to be a racecar)

Nothing would have to be done. The car being referred to was a grand national body. The engine parts are really getting kind of scarce

Billy, Do you have a 4.1 sitting in your collection? Somewhere around here I have some heads and maybe an intake...

Paul, Let's look at it this way.
Natural T car, so in U/SA , it weighs over 200 lbs less than a 273 Plymouth (2 bbl, 174 hp) .We recently saw one of those running .85 under.
So, how much faster would the Buick be in U/SA? I'm sure you have an idea.

BTW an old clapped out Regal ,231 can't be worth too much ..It can be an 81 or newer, I would think. ;-)

Sorry Daren, but I don't. I might be able to scrounge one up. For some reason, there's a dis-proportionate amount of Buicks in my neighborhood.
If you're serious, Brian Seibenik used to race one. So did Ken Sharp.

If I were 20 years younger I would build a 1962 Pontiac Tempest 115 hp 4 cylinder for W/SA. No cylinder head specs.,no carb specs, no piston specs..

So, is the GM 3800 a dead deal?
Don't see much for parts for any V6 anymore.
