426 Hemi block for sale
This block has been in our family since 1975, purchased from the original buyer who purchased it over the counter from Mopar. (No VIN #)
The block has a casting date of August 1966 Fresh .030 over Sleeve pro installed in #5 (A large bolt was dropped down the carb just before my brother bought the motor) Deck height measures 10.745, leaving .025 above the blueprint spec of 10.720 Cylinders have slight notches for rod clearance Fresh mag inspection, no cracks, block has never been hurt. Well, aside from the bolt down the carb. (And yes, I know the ugly story…lol) Block was set aside in 1975. In 1994 I had it sleeved maintaining the standard bore. I ran it off and on (90% street time) until 1998, when I took it .030 over and installed the billet caps. Project was never completed. On one hand, I'm sorry to sell it but I've got other interests. **block is sold** I will include BRAND NEW in the box custom Arias 11:1 (small dome) pistons/pins for a 4.280 bore and 4.375 crank for $4250. *This results in 505 cubic inches* I can wrap/palletize/box it and have it ready for pick up on my dock. email me at dmayle@cheemafreightlines.com if you're a serious shopper. Gen III 6.1 or 6.4 long block trades considered... Thanks! Last edited by cudadoug; 04-19-2017 at 11:37 PM. |
