Re: Removable tunnel in stock?
Remember there being a sick shift stocker a few years back which had a removable dash and trans tunnel. The stock floor from another car was cut out and fitted.
Would think this would be fine to do done correctly but sheet metal tunnel will not fly. Doing this will weaken the car a full cage would be in order.

Re: Removable tunnel in stock?
Saw a removable tunnel at Bandimere on a A/S camaro years ago. They flipped when I tried to get a pic of the interior!

Re: Removable tunnel in stock?
I used one years ago. I didn't know you couldn't . I cut the tunnel out from the firewall to the seat and then used another tunnel from the same model of car and quick fasteners. You could change the trans complete with shifter from the front seat.
