Re: Suprise for the SSSSA at SGMP
I am really sorry to hear about John's misfortune. I think that was his first SSSSA race. I hope he continues to race with us in the future.
I should have my car back out at the next race. I have purchased an engine from Pat Clifford. See ya'll soon.

That's good news Mike.Your buddy with the IHRA SS/Modified car didn't show up this past weekend. We had a SS car win Saturday and Stocker won on Sunday. Racing was very even between Stk and SS. Jim

How the heck will I be able to run with you if you got one of those bullets from Pat? Great to hear you got a new engine though, hopefully I will see you in Orlando. Terrance |

No excuses Terrance! You should know we don't have any heads up in eliminations. Jim

Smitty,
I will probably move down to SS/HA with the new engine. It looks like a pretty good piece. Just keep working on your stuff and you will get there.

Re: Suprise for the SSSSA at SGMP
I am sorry to hear about John's breakage. The same thing has happened to my fathers super stocker on two different occasions. Once was at the Orlando points race and the other was at the national even at Charlotte. Both times the starting line crew just told us oh well...That's racing. Even though a 3400pd SS/O car just does not sit there hook, spin and then shake so bad you could see the gaps in the doors and trunk get larger and smaller! It striped a bald spot right were the tires were both times.. And yes it broke parts both times. The rear end on one and then the clutch/trans on the other. The starting line crew did nothing even though we were not the only car to have problems. SGMP seems to be a very professional place and I would like to think they will correct the problem for next time.
