Re: Jim "The Shoe" Harrington
From the whole Northrop family, RIP Jim. We send our condolences to Tracey and the family.
Just like everyone reading this, he made everyone smile around him. He was a huge help to me when I started racing and he always was “Happy” to see me succeed. He did that for everyone, because that’s how he was, an all around great guy. The story’s and memories I have of him are nothing but fun times. I know everyone feels that way. C-Ya down the road Big Guy…… we all will miss you Sincerely Dan Northrop |

Re: Jim "The Shoe" Harrington
RIP SHOE Wendy and I were talking this morning and came to the conclusion that if you ever met Jimmy and Tracey you became part of a story. He helped us out whether it was racing or just life a true embassador to the sport and in life. You will be missed thank you for everything .
Love Ronnie and Wendy |

Re: Jim "The Shoe" Harrington
Such a sad day. "Harry" always offered such words of encouragement about my driving and life in general...I will truely miss that. Although I didn't get to know him well until the last couple of years I consider him a very good friend and hate that our friendship has been cut short. RIP my friend. Our prayers are w/ you Tracey.

Re: Jim "The Shoe" Harrington
Jim was one of the "Real" personalities in Sportsman racing. He was just great to be around at any time. I first met him at the Moroso 5 day back in the 80's, after racing him over the years it didn't really matter if you won or not, you knew you could have some laughs with him afterwards. One night in the pits at Bristol in 06, it was raining and we had about 20 people under the awnings having a few, Jim was "on" , telling stories and making us all laugh so hard.... just one of many great memories.
Rest in Peace, Jim, you will be missed. |
