Sbc Oil Pumps
Since melling has had so many problems with their pumps,Moroso has a new pump,#22111,that has what looks like the old melling casting.Just wondering if anyone has used this pump and if this is a GOOD pump? What other sbc oil pumps do you racers use?

Re: Sbc Oil Pumps
There is a new number for the "good" Melling pump. The old standby number has a very thin casting and is not rugged enough for racing use . I can't recall the new number but I believe you can find it on their website, under the performance parts section.

Re: Sbc Oil Pumps
For a quality stock style pump, I like the Sealed Power 224-100 (??) pump, with the hex drive shaft, but it may not be what you are looking for, it's high volume and has the BBC inlet size.
