Drag Racing History
Everyone who does not already know, my brother Tony passed away a couple of weeks ago after a long illness. Many of you who raced at local track probably remember him doing photographs at the various tracks and in the pit area. He began doing the track photographs back in the 70's when Shirley and I were racing. I have been removing stuff from his house, 35+ years in the same place, and there are hundreds and hundreds of photographs from tracks on the East Coast. There are hundreds of Stock Super Stock/Drag Illustrated magazines, National Dragster, IHRA and AHRA magazines and many photo scrape books. Shirley and I are going to try to get as many of these photos scanned and in album as we can by the time for the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame an be able to have some of it on display. Most will probably be donated to Nancy Wilson of use at the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame Museum. Check out the Charlotte Observer Newspaper ad.
