I hate it when sites like the above put tiny pix on their webpage. Anyway, here's an enhanced and larger shot of same photo.

Phone # in ad is LaSalle/Montreal. We have documented this LO23 back to this time when it was advertised in the Auto Trader in 1983-84. We've hit a dead end here. It went to Nova Scotia in 1984, R. Boyd bought it. Possible Gene ONeill connection but we'd like to establish some ownership trail/history from 1983 and earlier. BTW MANY THANKS Mark, Greg, steve o, for the countless hrs researching another mystery dart.

Is that car a Detroit car? Any idea on who the owner selling the car was?

Does anyone know if this was a 'real' Hemi Dart or not? Btw, check out the cigarette in Bob Reed's mouth. I don't think he could get away with that today in this Orwellian age of political correctness and authoritarianism.

Maybe it's old age and bad eyes but doesn't the nose of the Bob Reed Dart look "drooped"?

The front-grille is not a GT, looks like a 270 grille.
But who cares at 135+ mph.

Vic,

On the 'Hair Bender' Barracuda, very likely it was shipped to
Ryan Plymouth in South Dakota.

Also, 'Bear-A-Cuda', after Freed Motor Company, it was then
sponsored by Fremont Dodge, out of Fremont, California.

Here's a few.

Mike,

I'll have to search for the magazine regarding the 1968 Hemi Barracuda.
The car was originally purchased by a 17 year-old kid out of
Southern California, in May 1968.

Not sure what dealership had it. It was a long time ago.

Paul,
I worked at Town and Country Dodge from '69 to '71 and knew the origional owners of the "Wild Fire" SS/BA '68 Dart. I was told that there is a Robert Alton (Alten?) listed as one of the purchasers. Did his name ever pop up in your research. Thanks for any info you can give!
