Default Golliday Brothers 1967 Chevelle

INFORMATION WANTED
GOLLIDAY BROTHERS 1967 CHEVELLE
I have recently acquired this Car that has been in my Cousin’s possession since 1973. It was purchased and campaigned in the Martinsburg WV/Hagerstown/Frederick MD area on the street and drag strips by Harry and Larry Golliday. This Car was a TERROR and UNBEATEN on the Streets of the Martinsburg area.
Our plan is to restore the Car as close as we can to the way is was raced back in the day. The Car had a traction bar setup designed by the owners and worked so well, they made many more for the local racers in the area. I have spoken with both Harry and Larry, and they are very excited to see it brought back to it’s as raced livery, and will help with the re-creation of their - should have been patented - traction bar setup. Both brothers insist that the Car was ordered and delivered with the L34 350HP/M22/4.56 Rear Setup. Larry remembers a paper tag tied to the shifter stating that the Car was equipped with a HD M22 Transmission and to expect excessive gear noise.
Any information pertaining to this Car – Pictures, Stories, Race Results, and of course any information that could lead us to the missing drivetrain would be greatly appreciated, please PM me.
The goal is rather than being a trailer queen, to run the Car at nostalgia Super Stock / Southeast Gasser Super Stock events. You may even see Golliday Brothers, both being alive, well, and STILL CLASS RACING at 75, behind the wheel of this street/strip legend again!

Please watch Youtube link below.

Thanks
John Evans

I was not aware that the M-22 was available with the L-34 motor in 1967. I had a 1967 L-34/ M-21 car back in 1968 and 69 and I followed these cars at the time and the L-34/ M-22 combination would be new information to me.

Yes, the only 1967 Chevrolet's that were documented from the factory with M22's were the 20 L88 1967 Corvettes. All I have to this day is both brothers statements that the car was ordered and delivered with a M22. Have not searched the car yet for build sheets, I will update the thread if I get any documentation.

My 1967 Corvette with the 427/435 HP Tri-Power engine came with an M-22. I ordered it that way new. Never broke it but it was loud with the straight cut gears. Wished I still had it.

Camaro Research Group shows no M22's in a Camaro in 1967.
