Default Looking for advise on fuel system

Getting ready to order the fuel system for my stocker project.

Trying to decide if I should run the Magnafuel pro star 500 or the A1000 stealth set up from Aeromotive.

Looking for opinions on what rout you would go and why.

On all our small block stocker/SS cars we run basic Holley Blue/Black or Mallory 140 as the high dollar stuff
and recirculation stuff never helped us at all and was expensive.

However, Our float bowls look like 55 gallon drums on thermoquads and are fed by two large needles and seats.

Your results may be not be the same with different carb. setups!

For what it's worth this is a 396/375 with 780 quick fuel....I was told this combo needs a lot more pump than one would think.

Another question, are you guys running the braided line back to front or using solid tubing for the length of the car?

I ran a Magnafuel Quckstar 275 on 302 Ford with a 4150 at 600 cfm and it was nice and quiet until it sprung a leak at the bottom O ring. I replaced it with a Holley Black. It's loud as ## but gets the job done.

-10 to the second filter at the fenderwell and -8 to the carb. it's a 750 now. the motor likes it better than the 600. I thought about hard lines, too. Couldn't find over 5/16.

I`m like Mr. Irving, nothing fancy. My Stocker Mustang used a Holley "blue" pump and regulator, using 3/8" steel tubing front to back. My low 10/high 9 second big block bracket car has used the same twin Holley "blue" pumps for over 30 years, still working fine. I have a 5 gallon fuel cell with 3/8" tubing from each outlet of the cell into each pump, then a Moroso Y block with 1/2" aluminum Moroso tubing up to the engine compartment, where it has another Y block with 3/8" lines, each line feeding a Holley blue regulator, and then each regulator feeds a float bowl of a Holley 780. Obviously, with 2 good sized float bowls, a Holley is easier to keep supplied with fuel, that say a Quadrajet. I have seen some Stocker Q Jet fuel systems that would likely be more than sufficent to supply a Pro Stock engine. A tiny single float bowl with 1 needle & seat must be a challange to keep full.
