I saw that video for the first time today and needless to say it is quite disturbing to see that happen to Bob.

Here's the latest (from the web):
"Bob Motz was involved in horrendous fire on the starting line at Kanawha Valley Motorsports Track on June 23, 2007 in Mason County, West Virginia when apparently something went wrong. The whole truck became fully involved, with Bob exiting the passenger side of the truck on fire, and went to the ground. His Son Scott as well as a track worker attempted to put him out. Both Scott and the track worker were also burned while attempting to save Bob. Bob and Scott were airlifted to Cabell Huntington's Burn Unit. Craig Clarke, owner of Track Rescue Fire Department said Sunday, "I spoke with Scott tonight who told me that they have moved Bob to another facility closer to home, and that he is still in Cabell along with the track worker who was also burned. Bob is still in critical condition and he and the other worker are facing pain and recovery from this event." The event occurred at Kanawha Valley Motorsports Park near Charleston, West Virginia. Bob Motz, a 26 year veteran and known as the ?King of Quake,? was headlining the show in his 20,000 horsepower Jet Kenworth." |
