Default A ? about alternators

Not sure if this is the right forum. In an attempt to shed weight off the front of my 85 Mustang bracket racer. I'm looking to replace my FOMOCO 3G alternator with a smaller compact unit. Trying to follow the mindset of "removing 1lb. from 50 areas versus 50lbs. from one area" rule. I'm pretty sure that people have been using small high output alternators off of foreign cars to achieve the same result. If I'm correct my 3G puts out 95 amps. I would want to stay the same amps at the very least as i am running and electric fuel pump/ fan/ Mezziere water pump. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Thank you. Looking at S10 alternators. They look compact and are 100amps.

I burned out a mini (Nippon Denso) and replaced it with a TuffStuff 7068k high amp. Set the needle on 13v all day.
