^This is actually a similar response that I received from Pat Cvengros today as well. For those wondering.

The hp difference with the different hoods is only for super stock.

Horsepower adjustments following the LODRS Division 4 event in Houston, TX
4/17/2018

The horsepower rating for 1970 Chevrplet Camaro, entries with the 350 cubic inch engine and a factory rating of 300 currently rated at 296, has been decreased by ten horsepower, to 286 horsepower; for Stock Eliminator. These changes are effective April 17, 2018.

David read my earlier post! The 70 model can't use the 184 intake therefore the specs in the guide are different and doesn't warrant an increase!

Based on previous information that points toward the basis of how these decisions are now made, the 1970 Camaro does not use the 184 intake manifold. Seems almost like a personal factor, like a Comp eliminator competitor CIC. Or the 1979 Malibu 2-door coupe 305-160hp.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but this wasn't round 1 or 2 this was 4th round by 2 very capable drivers. They weren't racing for just 1 round, they were racing for 1 number and it ain't number 2!! I've seen many of the heads up races in my 30 years and that last 320ft can make the engine builder proud and very busy the next week.. They are set on kill and could expire in the last 2 feet little less 320.... Congrats to Hidalgo and good try by ADUB...

The 1970 should not have been hit as its a completely different
generation than the 69!

The 1970 hit was done in error, that's why you see the decrease back down to 286.
