Default Dallas National Event

Thinking about attending the Dallas National Event. Never been to this track. Can anyone tell me the good and the bads of this facility, i.e. pit conditions, paved pits, gravel pits, paved or gravel road ways leading to staging lanes, etc. Thanks for any info.

My opinion is I like the track but hate the pits. It is pretty dusty and dirty in the back 40 and if it rains it can get pretty nasty. It has been a few years sense I've attenteded an event there so maybe it's better now. Just my .02.

Nope nothing has changed, take alot of microfiber towels and larger towels to keep you equipment clean. Great track but the pits are horrible.

I agree with all the previous statements (i.e., the sportsman pit area has become a SH*thole). Most OD sportsman racers who have attended a national event over the past 10 years have sworn off the place.

With that being said, I spoke the D4-DD a few days ago and he has assured me that the Motorplex is making some improvements to the pits for the upcoming 2024 Nat.
Mainly they will be paving asphalt roads around and through the sportsman pit area. This should help tremendously with the dust since most of it was generated by travel back and forth by the race vehicles, golf carts, etc.. Yes, it could still be dusty in your specific pit area but at least it won't be a constant plume from the cars going back and forth. The hope is that over the next year(s) that there will be some amount of grass that will grow and further help control the dusty conditions.

If you have an air cleaner, bring it.

The racing surface is as good as they come. Plenty of Texas hospitality too.

Also, the scheduled Pine Valley D4 race has been moved to the Motorplex on Monday & Tuesday of the Nationals, so now you have a shot at a Divisional and National in the same week.
