Default Protest

Dempsey protest's Paul Boster and made him pull a rod and piston, right before first round, so Paul , after passing, loaded up and won't get to race.

Does NHRA take a protest from a competitor right before the 1st round? IHRA will only accept it at least 3 hrs before the race, to keep things from getting in a pissing contest. If NHRA allows this then it will only lead to a good ole *** whuppin ,ala Saturday night dirt tracking.

Even then 3 hours isnt enough time to pull a head have it teched and put back togather. How long did it take the stocker at Piedmont to tear down for a record. I saw them working on it for at least 5 hours.

I can sure think of a time at piedmont a few years back a guy in a little cavalier , that could barely run the index, got protested 5 minutes before time runs was over...just for spite,,,,,,,...cost him 30 plus points and the world championship,,,,,,and was found legal 2 days later,,,,,,

funny thing about those pissing contests,,,,the one that gets pissed on,,, dont forget...........and usually get even,,, I might add

on p 266 of the rule book, written protests can only be filed on the day prior to eliminations. Or am I reading this wrong?
