Default Wheel /tire info

In the process of building a new 2002 Camaro stocker and wondering what size front tire and wheel width and backspace are most guys running with this car. Thanks

Default Re: Wheel /tire info

Really a 27.5" front tire is as big as we can fit in the wheel well without major rubbing on the inner fender liner. We commonly run a 26" tire too, but depends on if you need bigger roll-out to slow down your reaction times at all. The MT has a narrower section width and fits nicely (Hoosier is similar). The wheel you want is the deeper (more) backspacing to pull the wheel back into the car. The spindle location on these cars is somewhat far outwards, so the more offset pulls it in to allow you to get the front end to sit a little lower.

Best of luck with the build,
Mike
