Jared Jordan suggested a National Open at Famoso right before the Winternationals but I assume the ship has sailed. Maybe a National Open at Sonoma right before or after the National event in July? It would make that race a lot more attractive, it seems car counts are down at that National event since they eliminated the LDRS race there.

We have set the National Record before at Top Gun.

We do not have any particular problem getting down
the track, not any more than anywhere else.

However, June is not a great time to set a record there due to the Heat.

Being that the U.S. Nationals is a non AHFS race, the big dogs attend to race class and all the Divisional Tech teams are there why not set records as long as the schedule permits tear down unlike last year?

The whole deal with National Dragster stands out.

I understand NO-ONE at ND wants to gather up the current records and publish them 3 or 4 times a year.

Their way of filling up a page in ND is to grab an old grainy black and white photo from the 50's or 60's and make that fill the page.

If NHRA put a shelf life of 10 years I would go back attempting records.

Heck, I might even do it for 5 years

It's strange there are a couple of 10 year old records still listed ( AAA/S and AAA/SA )

All others were vacated after 2 years

I don't know squat about nothin'...BUT, in my little pea brain, you should have the record until someone betters it...

As for the ND, I would think if they thought they could go digital only they would, and it most likely will at some point...
Have you noticed the local papers?...
Barely enough there to clean the bird cage...
(and they still want you to pay for your digital content, the nerve!)
