Like mother, like daughter...way to go Case Stott on her first win in beginners Jr. Dragster! Logan was behind you in the water box when your win light came on and started cheering when he saw your win light come on!!!

Its also the first win for a Wilkins Motorsports junior dragster engine!

i don't know which is better, seeing the kids in the winners circle or seeing the parents on the starting line! Great job to all of you.

Why did this thread get moved from the main page that everyone views? Its expressing congratulations to a fellow super stock racers child much like all the other congratulatory threads that are started every Monday morning.

Talk about pressure! That run had more families watching than any other. Here were the possible outcomes:

Jason wins and wins the division
Stott wins and it's her first ever
Stott wins and kraft wins the division over Jason

Really neat to see a race come down to that. Jason needed to beat kraft first round and win the race to win the division by 1 point. He got kraft first round, made it to the finals, but couldn't quite seal the deal. It's always good to see a first time winner though. It is true, that watching your kid (my nephews in my case) win, is way cooler than winning yourself. It was really cool seeing Jonathon, jason's older brother, win his first ironman in the masters division.

The one thing I hope IHRA does next year is to give the Jr's a break. That round robin stuff is murder. We had two people helping us, runnings carts back and forth just to keep up. My brother never left the starting line area once they got their final time run. It's sad when you have to bring a generator to the lanes to cool down the car. With rockingham having a long shutdown/turn off, it's 3/4 of a mile from the starting line to shut down, to starting line. That doesn't take in the fact these tiny kids are in fire suits, in 100 degree temps and in their car almost the entire time if they go to the finals. Jr kids are strapped in sooner than any other racer. All we need is one kid getting dehydrated and we have a mess on our hands.

Way to go Case!! I can speak from experience there is no other feeling than watching your son or your daughters' win light come on in the finals. Just seeing them win their first round is great. I can imagine the celebration on the starting line. Just to let you know Emily that is a feeling that you can never describe and it gets better the next time. Congrats!

Thanks so much for all the posts. Donna is correct....Case winning is better than any race I have ever won. She was so excited. Also congrats to Case's best buddy Logan Robbins on his runner up. Mark is also coreect about the parents on the starting line....I know I looked like a nut.....but I could not help it.

Thanks again to all and to IHRA for giving our kids the chance to race.

Chip, She fell asleep holding it Saturday night, I took it out if her arms after she was asleep. She was not happy with me Sunday morning because she said, "you always sleep with your iron man the first night?"
