The 57 that comes down to MAM once in a blue moon is Dan Bruckner's old race car. I cannot recall the current owner's name, but I know he has had the car for over 20 years. I dont know if it still has a Ford engine in it.

Here is a trivia question regarding Cornhusker Raceway Park. Who was the last person to run down the track? And what was I driving???? (was that a big enough hint??? LOL)

Answer: I was driving a 1969 SS427 - SS/E Chevelle. It was owned by Denny Fitch and I drove. Black and white.

The tower was moved to Scribner In the second year after they reopened, maybe 1982?
We used to race at Cornhusker ,then stop at Shakeys Pizza for some treats after.
Flat towing a car with your belly full of beer and pizza, ahh the good old days.

I took this picture. This is outside of London Square Mall in Eau Claire,WI for the spring car show. The car was then owned by Clyde Birch (Chippewa Falls,WI) and tuned by Gerry Erickson. I got to wax it and so on, as I was in kindergarden. What a lucky kid. Thanks Dad! ....Gee, wonder why I love drag racing so much.

Yes Steve Lowe is trying to rebuild a clone. As, I am of Charbonneau's wagon. Wouldn't it be cool to see these both match race. Then repaint the tower at Rock Falls to Amber and Green. Two kids dream.

Yes same car minus the fancy paint - Last time I saw the car 1989 it was rotting away in feild in northern WI. Owner would not part with it and the car is no longer there.

Thanks for posting this picture. The wagon had been purchased by Clyde Birch - Chippewa Falls running in A/S and Clyde's number was 2061.

Some say this is the same car but I highly doubt it.
