Unhappy Re: what is wrong with the national events

As far as the fuel cars go, there are none at divisional events and those tracks are crap this year and late last year as well. I am reasonable certain the track prep in general has changed. Yes the weather has been very cool this spring, the track temp on the starting line has been 50 or less when they run the super classes. The problem comes in right off the stop and down track. It appears as though there is enough tooth at the starting line so the down track issue has to be the glue. Well in mho.

Has anyone here actually talked to VHT to get their spin on this?

I've been racing the same car/combination for a long time and up until a couple years ago, I NEVER had to "drive" it to get down the track....and this is the local weekend bracket races.

I think this problem is bigger than just national events. I'd bet there is something different with the glue.

And no, I haven't smelled the glue in maybe 4 years???

Wink Re: what is wrong with the national events

Keith,
Something has changed that's for sure. Perhaps we need a VHT patrol to take pictures at National and Divisional events of the barrels and the mix.
I'm headed to St Louis this week-end I"ll look and see. Then I'm headed to Indy and then back to St Louis for a National Event. Lets find the facts rather than speculate.
