I know I'm going to regret this but..........check and see how bad the rust is on the car. Let me know.

He had to leave town on business a few days, I was supposed to check it out tonight. He hasn't answered his phone tonight.
I'm not able to check it out again until next week. I'll phone him some more and ask him to hold off sending it to the crusher..

I'll let you know. I'm looking at it for another guy too.
