Re: Dyno numbers 305
Pistons arrived today from cp. I ran rotating assembly over to Terry Smith and got the final balance. We got about all the rings ready. Block is prepped and ready. Looks like I might make South Georgia.
If I have enough time I am going to run it on the dyno. I may have to settle with a few laps up the road! I will dyno when I get in from the gators. |

Re: Dyno numbers 305
Naives engines finished my engine around 7. It was around 3 am finishing up everything in the car. It was a little late but my neighbors understand. No dyno time so I had to run it a bit. Everything seemed good so we loaded it on the trailer an headed to South Georgia . No runs today but tomorrow will be the tale of the tape. I got my fingers crossed. I will post up some numbers good or bad.
I have no idea what to launch or shift at. |

Re: Dyno numbers 305
philbilly, good luck at sgmp, be careful doing your burnout when come out of the water, don't over rev your motor or you will bend your valves, it's easy to bend them, I'd try 6200 shift point, if you stay in low gear to long you will fill the car slow down. Tom

Re: Dyno numbers 305
Well I ain't sick! I shifted at 6 have 7 quarts of oil in. We landed a 12.54 on the first run. I don't want to try anything now because it's gonna be race time. Hopefully it will repeat some numbers and we will get they day one.
