Question Renegade RM K-16 Drag Elite vs VP Q-16

Looking for input on the Renegade RM K-16 Drag Elite specifically. I have been running the VP Q-16 for the past 4/years but I am thinking about switching to the Renegade.

I know both are "oxygenated" fuels., both need plenty of volume and both are good with higher compression naturally aspirated engines. Is there a front runner out of the two or not?

Just curious, Thanks.

So this X16 is VP? The problem I was having with the VP Q16 was I just could not get enough fuel too a couple of the cylinders. Even with the biggest jet I could find.

What are you using for a carburetor?

I would be looking at decreasing the high speed air bleed size if you have increased to the "largest available" jet and saw no improvement. You don't have a fuel issue, you have a carburetor issue.

Steve,
I run two 3/circuit 1150 Quick Fuel carburetor's. The air bleeds that I'm currently running are as follows:
Idle-47
Inter-85
High-28

Did you lose any mph when you jetted up?

Based on the numbers you posted, your intermediate circuit may be too large creating the lean condition at WOT, as the intermediate is still in operation in conjunction with the high speed circuit at WOT.

Steve,
Didn't lose mph. Kept going bigger on the jets to get away from the motor running lean (13.7-13.8) on the big end. I have O2 sensors on all 8 tubes.

So your thinking is to go a little richer on the inter.? Say like an "80"

Thanks.....

You could also give it a bit more fuel through the intermediate fuel feed, as well as the 80 for the bleed. Test and test again. The high speed can also be brought down to 26, it will make a difference.
