Default Re: Hoosier quick time pro

I have been chasing some inconsistent 60 ft times with my QTP Hoosiers.
I emailed them for some suggestions.
I have a suspicion that the grooves in the QTP were carrying water to the starting line, because there are three perfect muddy water stipes on the inside of my wheel tubs.

The email I sent them is below hope it helps you.

I need your help in selecting a drag slick for my car. I am running a 67 camaro 4 link car. With me in it the weight is 2800 lbs. 1590 lbs on the front!
I run a powerglide with a 1.76 1st gear and 5.13 rear. Currently I run the hoosier quick time pro 18 x 31. I do not know what compund they are but
sometimes they hook (usually 1st pass of the day) but after that they lose 60ft time by .03-.06. Are the quick time pro sidewalls to stiff for me?
What would you recommend?

Thanks, Greg.

PS. the car runs 10.60's @ 126mph. 580 hp!

ANSWER FROM HOOSIER>
Greg,
The 31x18.50-15LT QT Pro is not a stiffsidewall construction. It has the same compound as the slicks with the D06 compound. I would recommend the 31.0/14.0-15 D05 in the slick to replace the QT Pro..
