According to the NHRA Engine Guides for '69 & '70 Chevrolet, these are the correct sizes and specs

'69 & '70 Chevrolet Passenger Car

- with 350" SBChevy / 2bbl. Rochester

- 2GV Model (divorced choke) with

1.686 is the Throttle Blade Bore ( 1 11/16" ( 1.6875" ) with

1.375 is the Venturi / Bowl Section Bore Size ( 1 3/8" )

(these "Big Venturi" 2bbls, are the one's that all of the dirt racers wanted for years.... sometimes incorrectly referred to as the 500 cfm 2bbl. )
(note the '71 Engine Guide shows the SBChevy 350" - 2bbl. carb had been downsized to the 1 1/4" Venturi)

** NHRA Engine Guides for '71, '72, '73 & '74 Chevrolet's - Document the SBChevy 400" - 2bbl. as having the following carb specs.

1.686 is the Throttle Blade Bore ( 1 1/16" ( 1.6875" ) with only a

1.250 is the Venturi / Bowl Section Bore Size ( 1 1/4" )

Hope this helps!

I may have what you are looking for, i will have to find them in the shop and will get back with you. Ran this combo in a Nova 25 years ago and did very well with it. Will let you know what i find.

If "70" does not buy some of the carbs I might be interested in it. I am also looking for 2bbl intake #3916313, Thanks.

Ha! this is a good one. If you get the carbs that are listed in the Guide as the "original" carbs then you will have a carb with a venturi size of 1.250. THAT is the correct carb for the car. BUT what's correct and what NHRA accepts are two totally different things.
Tecnically, if you run the original carb you're not legal because it's too small.
The carb you're looking for came on Mercury Marine engines, U-Haul trucks and some medium duty military trucks. The 1.375 carb never came on a car.

Robert
I already have an intake and sould not need another if you can get this one that is fair game.

Billy
now what do i do. sould i still look for the "nhra" listed carb or is it worth a call to the tech department and would they even listen\

Bobola
i am interested in a carb but it sound like i need to do some more research to find out what i can use. i don't think the numbers you gave me match nhra's numbers

Steve
could you check the carb number for me i am interested i don't need the intake and sounds like someone else wants it but if it is the correct numbers for me and if you only want to sell together i will work something out with Robert

thanks everyone for all the help
Dan
