Contingency Decal Question
I have looked through the Rule Book to see if you can use decals with a magnetic backing. Sometimes it's nice to be able to remove them for a clean look or to keep from having a mess on your paint when removed. These were real common when I used to race SCCA events.
I know you have to have decals on the car before eliminations start to be eligible for contingency money. |

Re: Contingency Decal Question
A good coat of wax on the area and removing some of the decal tack by applying them to your pant leg first has good results.

Re: Contingency Decal Question
this works well, I also apply the decals and then buff the wax around it.

Re: Contingency Decal Question
Lightly lay the sticky back across your jeans just to pick up a little lint before putting them on the car.

Re: Contingency Decal Question
Appreciate the decal ideas. Kind of figured the magnetic deal was old school.

Re: Contingency Decal Question
I stick them on my tee shirt first to pick up some lint.

I don't think anyone would know, or care, if you had them on magnetic backing. I DO know you can't have painted on facsimiles.

Re: Contingency Decal Question
Manufacturers will not pay the contingency if you "stack" multiple decals of their products over each other.
Each Decal needs to "stand alone" in order to claim the contingency |
