Re: Toterhome insurance
I added mine to my auto insurance last year and saved a bunch of money. My auto and home owners is with Auto Owners which I’ve had two home owners claims and they were great.

Re: Toterhome insurance
Hey Jim , question I’m from Ohio have my United freightliner motorhome pulling 26 stacker , registered as MH on home policy thru Erie insurance very reasonable . Because I’m seeing these latest threads on dot cracking down on rigs like we are using out of state , it looks like we will be forced to obtain Dot # , Ifta fuel tax sticker an CDL liscense - medical card which I’m fortunate to already have because of my previous job . That being said , they are saying this is a business because of payouts even though I don’t claim anything or run as business an Dot requires a business insurance . So are we or should we change the insurance policy to a business policy or as long as we carry the required amount will this satisfy them ? I’m sure the insurance will be much more costly if I call ask for that over the private MH insurance I currently have ? The fines I’ve been hearing about , I can’t take a chance on that , sounds like it would exhaust the racing budget an park a fellow for a year financially .
Thanks Kevin

Re: Toterhome insurance
Not familiar with Ohio insurance laws but I wouldn't think so. You want to stay away from any DOT numbers, log books, etc. As long as we can keep them licensed as RV's that should be the case.
