I believe Flaming River builds & sells steering box's , Vega style - you might want to try contacting them. I know they used to sell parts through Jegs and could be another outlet to try. Hope that helps. Have a Good Day. Respectfully, Henry Kunz 1534 H/SA |

Speedway has two styles. A straight and a bent one. Not sure if they work for A body

Is the shaft for the pitman arm smaller than the hole in the pitman arm? I used an S10 box on my 85 F body and pitman arm worked. You might need an arm from a manual steering Chevelle.

Re: Vega Pitman arm for GM”A” body
UPDATE: B/SA Bob Moran "modified" a new "Straight" Vega Pitman Arm, and a "used" pitman arm from a Monza to make it fit.
Furthermore the upper "DD" Joint that was sugested to purchase was the wrong size! fortunately for us, Milt @"Westgate Performance" in Freetown MA. had what we needed "IN STOCK" in order to complete the installation........ |
