Default "King Kong" - Atlanta 1991

The first time I saw Sheldon Gecker race was at Byron, Illinois in 1978 at the "Bracket Nationals". He had a 1968 Baracuda by the same name. It was a four-speed car. He had caster wheels hanging down on each side of the oil pan to protect it from hitting the pavement.

Very cool pic! It's great to see pictures like this of a great racer and an even better guy. If you look close enough, I think you can see Gecker's feet under the car......
