KELSON & KELSON STOCK/SUPERSTOCK SERIES - RACE 6 REPORT
Cape Breton Dragway NHRA National Open, August 10, 2024

The final race of the John Scotti Canadian National Open Series "Eastern Swing" was a fitting end to an intense week of ACSSA competition that featured 5 races in 9 days. Both of the Cape Breton races were sponsored by Atlantic Turbo, thanks so much for your support! After one round of Qualifying we headed into the 1st Round with 19 cars making the call. The weather had deteriorated somewhat from the day before, with temperatures in the low 80s, a DA around 2500', and Water Grains at 110+. Jeremy Keans grabbed the top spot in Qualifying with his 1983 Monte Carlo at -0.821 under his 1/8th mile Index.
After an early season engine bay fire that left him singed and his race car in primer, Kelly MacKay put in a stellar performance on his way to the win and the Wally, and Mike Ingram took Runner-Up honours to cap off his incredible week that featured a race win and two runner-up finishes. Congrats to both!
