Default Real 1962 Plymouth Fury "Stocker"

I am posting some pics of a 62 Plymouth Fury that was a 2010 Survivor Car Show participant that was judged to the Zenith level or less than 10% restored. It was a beautiful car to see in real life. I believe it hails from Minnesota. I took these June 23 2012 in St. Charles Illinois, where this was one on display as to the level of quality from an unrestored original car. Thought you folks here would appreciate them.

These cars are so ugly that their cute.

I was at a Mopar Show at Atlanta when a retired Air Force Sgt. came in the gate with a '62 Dodge completely restored with the 413 dual quad motor and auto. The only departure from stock was 15 " cop wheels and tires.

He said he found it in a junk yard with the carbs, intake, original fuel lines in the trunk and a dead short block still bolted in the engine compartment.

The car was beautiful, original and ran like a down hill freight train. With stock exhaust and street tires he ran 14.20's all day long, that's street hemi times and he beat a few head's up.

I know there is a lot of discussion about this combo and the 383, 2x4 combo but they are both in the NHRA guide.

Grape it looks like it to me. Cyclone thanks for posting the pic.
My very first car was a 62 Plymouth,no where near the condition
that one is in. It took me to college and work for two years.

I think someone got a car that was worth the money.

Purchase was in '07.

Prices were just getting "Hemi-fied" and it appears this non-hemi was a very fair deal for the buyer.

1962 for Plymouth and the 64 330 Dodge are my personal Mopar favorites.

GRAPE, that does look like the car. According to the website for the Survivor Car Show, I believe the owner is Gary Fix from Braham MN.

I will post a couple of more later that may of interest here.
