My favorite of all the muscle cars. Probably my favorite Stock Eliminator car is Harry Vineyard's white 69 Chevelle 427, with Harry driving in B/SA, and Tucker Parrish driving in A/S. Kevin Borgstrom's 69 Chevelle is a close second.

COPO Chevelles were assigned Central Office Production Order 9562 for the L72 Hi Perf unit. Yenko Chevelles (99 built) were double COPO's because they also got COPO #9566 'sport car conversion' that included special suspension, wheels & 140 speedo

Don Yenko also bought the 69 COPO Chevelles & Camaro's (COPO 9561/9737) directly from Chev with these packages already installed, but the 69 Nova's were 396/375 4 speed cars...some of these got 427 dealer transplants. Insurance co's refused to insure the Nova's so it's unknown how many were actually converted.
In 1970 the only COPO's built were the LT-1 Yenko Deuce's nicknamed the 'insurance beaters'

$7500 was a gazillion dollars for a muscle car in 1974! Somebody wanted that car BAD! I'm guessing that was 1/3rd of the price of the home?
