Tony, if you go a couple rounds on May 16th, I'll bet you give the blinkers a workout.

Dave,
Ya it would be nice to go some rounds this year. Im not a bracket racer by any means and never will clame to be one or a good one for that much. Im a street racer that got smart and go out when the time was right. I used my gift card at Performance Improvements in hamilton on saturday. Thank you very much. I've never paid 135 bucks for plug wires but the card was for 100 so i didn't feel that bad.

Thanks again

Tony

Hey what happened to the "Am" part of "Can-Am"? Nothing at DTR or NYIRP?

Whens the last time you came out to one of our races? We have attempted to go to lancaster 5 times now but it rains everytime. Maybe you should come out and show some support and then maybe we could talk about setting up some races up at NYIRP. I don't want to sound like I run the series or anything. Murray Daniels does a great job along with Fred Smith at the reins. We never have a hiccup and everything always runs smooth. Ya I think you should come out for sure...good luck bro...you'll need it. There is alot of great racers and its definitly an eye opener. Im just there for the comedy hour. LOL

It's just my interpretation, but I think the name of the series speaks more to the nationality of the participants than to the location of the tracks. One of the features intrinsic to any of the regional programs is convenience for the majority of the competitors. If tracks in the US are to be considered as potential venues they need to be within an acceptable radius for the points members who, in recent years, have been residents of Ontario. CanAm events have been held at Milan and DTR(Lancaster), both close to the border.

Upstate NY and Michigan racers have supported the series over the years....and taken a few bucks home with them, I might add. The most daunting challenge facing the committee is to plot a schedule that minimizes conflicts with NHRA/IHRA events. Unfortunately, the cake doesn't always come with a fork.

Dave

I think we should set these "AM" guys up for a cross border challenge.

Of course, they would have to find enough room to run 1/4 mile "eh"
