Live from the MIR IHRA Pro Am
Well, we rolled in yesterday (after a grueling 12 mile tow) around noon and got parked. I ran the test & tune yesterday and all was good, the track was hooking well and the reaction time and Ets where good. The weather yesterday was good DA about 2500', todays another story. The weather channel's calling for a 80% chance of rain today right now its over cast but dry. The car count looks a little weak, I think the tripple race at Darlington next week may keep some away. Sunday is looking a little better. Good luck to all.

Re: Live from the MIR IHRA Pro Am
Well it's 11AM and they called HR to the lanes. The starting line was good but the drive made the wrong guess on the stop and only ran 10.997 . They got H/R and Stock time runs done then the rains came, and it's raining pretty steady now. I think it's nap time.zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Re: Live from the MIR IHRA Pro Am
Well it's closing in on 5:00 and I think they'll be pulling the plug for today. They already canceled the 5K bracket race. It looks like they'll be running both races tomorrow (thats unofficial) as of now. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day. Anyone remember this guy???

Re: Live from the MIR IHRA Pro Am
Well it's 7:15, they had about finished drying the track and everyone was warming up and you've got it THE RAINS CAME AGAIN. So thats it for today, their going to run both races tomorrow. Everything starts at 7:30 with tech, all fields are still open theres a 30% chance of rain tomorrow. Hopefully they can get both races done.

Re: Live from the MIR IHRA Pro Am
Good morning all, just waking up to a very cloudy sky, it looks pretty much like yesterday. The weather channels calling for a 60% chance of rain and I think I just heard a few drops of it. We'll see how it goes today????????????

Well the track was dry and they were running through the time runs and then it happened again THE RAINS CAME. I'm not sure if they'll have enough time to get both races off, we'll see. My one time shoot was a pretty good one 012 & 7.003.

Re: Live from the MIR IHRA Pro Am
As you probably know by now they had to call the race, there just wasn't enough time to get it finished. I'm home now and it's still raining like crazy, we even had a confirmed tornado just a few miles from the track. As I under stand the race will not be rescheduled (no open weekends) and racers and spectators will get a 100% refund. IHRA will have info on their web page about points. I'm glad this weekend is over, now I just need to dry out.
