Default Transmission Shield for Stock

Please clarify for me the new rule concerning Stock Eliminator trans shields/blankets. What spec is required for a car that will go 9.80's?

Assuming automatic transmission and stock case, you would need the following:

- Transmission shield meeting SFI Spec 4.1 <-- All cars under 10.99
- Flexplate meeting SFI Spec 29.1 <-- All cars under 9.99
- Flexplate shield meeting SFI Spec 30.1 <-- All cars under 9.99

2018 NHRA rulebook, Section 11A, page 7.
