Default When do you shift

Just curious, when do you go on the stop, when do you shift and what rpm do you cruise at. Just wondering how many different set ups people use

My car is slow, so to get it rolling I go on the stop at 0.500. Cruise at 4200 (RPM set in the pits. I don't know what RPM it actually cruises at on the track). Off the stop somewhere around 1.600 and shift by hand at 7000 rpm.

Do you shift that far out to make the 60’ more consistent?

The transitions were smooth & that's what I looked for. But Keith has the inside stuff, he just doesn't share as well as play well with others on the 1320.

When I had my big motor in the car I could go on at .001 and shift at .20 and it was consistent. When I put the 467 back in, it seems to struggle sometimes shifting that early and the 60s aren’t consistent. The farther out I move the shift with this motor, the more consistent it seems to get. I think it knocks the breath out of this smaller motor when the air is bad. That’s why I was curious
