Check both UPS and FedEx Ground. I have found where FE is cheaper going to some locations.

I shipped a set of iron SBF heads from Detroit to Texas through UPS. Cost about $60.

Get your own Federal Express account. It can be set up in 10 minutes.

Today I shipped a package from KY to NC, my discounted cost, $38.73 vs

$53.78 if I had paid at the drop off at the FedEx store.

FYI...

I just recently sold some parts on eBay. Although the heaviest box was a little over sixteen pounds.

Without exception every shipment was cheapest with USPS (United States Postal Service). These shipments all had tracking numbers provided.

I was able to print the labels online and just drop them off at a local sorting facility close to my house.

I was surprised and I still don't know if I would send my heads that way!

I suppose if they are cast iron they might be too heavy, I don't know their maximum weight.
