race parts aroma therapy
I like the smell of a new cam when still in the box. The protection/shipping oil aroma gives me a smile and calming effect.
Like walking into a hardware store or tire store, O the simple pleasures. |

Maybe. But filing my taxes in those nice sized Summit boxes is still filing my taxes...

C12 exhaust, aerosol brake cleaner and the smell from a carb kit when you crack the plastic open. -Al

Re: race parts aroma therapy
Before Dad sold his shop this spring, I used to go out every Friday morning around 6:30 to pay bills, do the bookkeeping. The shop smells were just as comforting to me as an apple pie baking in the kitchen. Grease, gas fumes, solvents....ahhhh!

As we used to say as a parody on Robert Duvall's line from "Apocalypse Now", "I love the smell of VP in the morning! Smells like power!"

Re: race parts aroma therapy
It is nice to be connected to my Brothers and Sisters on such a deep and therapeutic level.
The aromas of our experiences are like music, touches us like nothing else, it is part of our deepest makeup, can transcend and transform. |
