Have a question for the J througm M cars running small blocks. What axles are you running and do you have them gun drilled and hubs milled down to the min.

Thanks

No Milling or gun drilling on our cars.......
Not enough Bang for the Buck on our Budget.

If money is not a big object......Get them and all the ceramic
bearings you can find!

Set N/SA National in 86 Dodge PU (360)

Plus O/SA in Dodge Aspen Wagon (318)

Without that stuff......Our money mostly spent under the hood!

I never thought the center drilling would help much since the moments of inertia are the highest on the outer diameter. Same for strength, it's on the OD. So you save mostly dead weight not so much on the inertia. If I remember correctly, both strength and moment of inertia is the fourth power of diameter.

Maybe you could run an aluminum spool with the 273? Lighten a steel spool and ring gear might be better options. I bought a Mittler Brothers spool with lightening holes in it last year for about $70. They had a sale, so I thought I'd take a chance with them.
