A few more updates;

Longtime friend and racer, Troy Morgan and I have entered into a partnership to build this SS GT Camaro. Troy is a successful racer, a successful business owner, and a good guy. He owns a Monte Carlo I built some years ago and recently took ownership of the Super 10.

I have been attracted to super stock class racing for many years and now Troy is onboard for some D 4 races. We plan to race both the Super 10 and the Camaro in D 4 competition.

The Camaro is being disassembled down to the last nut, washer, bolt, and clip. Doing so allows reassembly with attention paid to all hardware. Plus, it gives the body and paint man the easiest access possible.

Troy says, "if it ain't white, it ain't right" So, I give you three guesses about the color.

The exterior will be a late model GM truck bright white, the interior will be all black. It will have a basic and clean look.

And in ref to the name of this project. The name has been selected and approved but the reveal will come much later.

The former owner added caster wheels at the rear because he had not bought axles. I like the idea so I add a set at the front. Now the body is easy to load, unload, roll around the body and paint shop.

The front set is bolted on for easy removal but the rear set will need to be cut off. All four will remain in place until all the suspension is reinstalled.

The lessons from 50 years of hot rodding and drag racing and a life well lived would fill a book. Just a few of the key lessons,

*My life is richer because of the experiences.
*Over time, a core group of key people becomes the inner circle.
*Family is precious.
*Close friends become family.
*Health is priceless.
*Comfort in a race car promotes good driver performance.

Yet, even in Shangrala, adjustments must be made. This Camaro was built for a smaller, more flexible driver than my inner circle contains. In addition, my FOS disease [fat, old, stiff] puts me at the polar opposite of small and flexible.

The following photos are the beginning modification for driver comfort. I figger the talented fellow who built the cage would cringe when learning I put a band saw to his beautiful work.

The Camaro is in process at the paint shop. Photos soon.

In addition, the block is ready and the heads are in the process so we have progress.
