Johnny Fisher sold the Mirada last year. It is now owned by Johnny West out of Raleigh.

Re: "Live From" Virginia Motorsports Park
This morning started out with sun, but the clouds are rolling in fast. We are supposed to start 8:30. It rained a little last night, the weekend does not look good. Lets hope we get a few rounds in today.
More shots from yesterday..... |

Re: "Live From" Virginia Motorsports Park
I missed the first two rounds of stock but caught the third, great show. Kinda bummed I didn't see any Duster-Demons and only one FStock, nice looking Nova. Maybe threat of rain keep most at home. First time I've seen the snowmobiles run, totally amazed. 149 mph on skis, couldn't pay me to get on that thing!

If you travel up to the grove in a few weeks, all of D-1 will be out. Plenty of dusters and demons, you might even see a Gremlin. RE the sleds, one word of sagely advice......don't pit next to them, across from them, or even sort of close to them......they need to be at WOT to tune, and those race two strokes are LOUD! Eric

Re: "Live From" Virginia Motorsports Park
Super Street and Stock got their first round in before the rain started. Its not heavy rain, but enough to put things on hold. There is another strong cell moving through, but it might miss us. After that, the weather looks good for the rest of the day.
We had some down time this morning from a Stocker hitting the wall. Bruce Noland had a heads up in AA. His car left fine and was going straight. When it came down from the wheelstand it made a hard right and hit the wall. The throttle stayed wide open and he cross the center line and the left wall head on. We are not sure what went wrong, but a racer did see something come of Bruce's Corvette before it made the hard right. Bruce got out of the car and looked to be okay. The car on the other hand looks bad. |
