Smile 3946047 BBC aluminum HEADS "winters"

A nice set of 3946074 BBC Aluminum WINTERS casting no welding or port work.
Look to be virgin heads with no valves or studs. 1970 date code.
Any offers?

The later 074 heads were casted by the factory with D ports.

The very first sets of D-port BBC heads such as these were built with the old casting #. You had to call Vince Piggins at Chevy Product Promotion and he'd get you the heads (by way of Ernie Callard). I received four heads from Vince for my program way back when. They were still prone to rocker stud boss cracking and "loose" guides . The same back door program applied to the first BBC Marine (Bow Tie) blocks too, although the blocks did have dedicated casting numbers if I recall correctly.
